INSPIRED BY the full page, oversized four-color comicstrips that once graced the pages of America's Sunday newspapers, Detroit Sequential Sunday is a free online series in which an array of Detroit artists experiment with the language of sequentiality to tell a story or convey a sequence of events.

THESE COMICS are everything from the abstract and the poetic, to the political and the historical, from the fantastical and the irreverent, to the realist and the documentarian.

My “comic” was inspired by the horrific murder of George Floyd, and the deep frustration I felt with all the tragic things happening in society that summer.
